Meaning
The seam reserve vector records whether a comparison has enough capacity to absorb degradation and coupling at a seam.
At a fixed proposed floor κ, write c for inherited capacity, b for verified degradation on the image, n for independent capacity on the new target complement, and η for the mixed seam burden. The reserve is Rκ=(c−b,n,(c−b)n−η²). Feasibility requires every entry to be nonnegative.
Example (illustrative)
If c−b=2, n=3, and η=1, the reserve is (2,3,5). If η grows to 3, the determinant reserve becomes −3. Both diagonal capacities remain positive, but the seam coupling defeats this certificate.
Scope and limits
Capacity on a new target complement needs its own estimate. Perfect transport of the source subspace does not supply it.
