Status

Proved for declared pure-adjoint complex.

Statement

Arbitrary screening data built from the adjoint sector cannot trivialize either nonzero relative center class because every such dynamical label has zero -ality.

For ,

Adjoint weights lie in the root lattice and therefore represent zero in this quotient. Tensor products, subrepresentations, conjugates, differentials, and fusion operations within the admitted adjoint complex preserve that zero grading. They cannot supply the charge needed to cancel an external sector .

Example (illustrative)

Adding any number of gluonic adjoint labels still yields total center charge zero. They may reorganize local gauge data, but they cannot turn a sector of center charge one into the neutral sector.

Scope and limits

This is a pure-gauge statement. Adding matter of nonzero -ality changes the screening complex and may discharge the relative class. The proposition does not claim that fundamental matter can never break an external-source flux configuration.
